Korean Culture

Experience with us the unique beauty of Korean culture by visiting the main sights the country can offer you. Korean guides will provide you with a deep historical and cultural insight that you would not be able to gain on your own.

Ryuguyong Hotel

This 300-meter high skyscraper can be seen from every corner of Pyongyang city. Ryuguyong Hotel was left empty for over 16 years due to economic constraints, however, thanks to the hard work of Korean people a glass facade could have been installed in 2008 and finished by 2011. Since that year the hotel has still remained closed and thus we invite you to help us with opening the hotel in the near future! You can contribute by traveling to DPRK or by using the business opportunities our country can provide.

Chollima Statue

Chollima statue is a very important monument for the Korean people because it is our symbol of the speed and preservance of our country´s workers. Chollima was originally termed in China and literally translates as "thousand-mile horse". This term refers to a magical horse that is so fast that no one can catch it. In Korea the term was used to boost the economy and promote rapid reconstructions. Our Great Leader Kim Il Sung used the slogan:

"Let us dash forward in the spirit of Chollima!"

Mansu Hill Grand Monument

Mansu Hill Grand Monument was built from bronze as a gift to Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il and currently is considered as one of the most sacred placed in the country. The greatness and immortality of our leaders are emphasized by the monument´s size of 20 meters and expensive material used. Behind the Great Leaders a beautiful mosaic of Mount Paektu is laid on the wall. We, the Koreans will remember the leaders forever and we would love to show you this monument so that you could grasp the great essence of this cultural masterpiece.

North Korea's International Friendship Exhibition Hall

Are you interested to see what different types of gifts our Great Leaders received throughout history? If yes, then International Friendship Exhibition Hall is an ideal place for you. The exhibition hall is located in the UN recognized reserve surrounding the Mount Myohyang. Inside you can observe over 100 000 items and get to know what gifts, for instance, Stalin, Mao or Tito gave to our Great Leaders.

Juche Ideology

"The basis of the Juche Idea is that man is the master of all things and the decisive factor in everything."
Kim Il Sung, On Juche in Our Revolution vol. 2 (1977)

Juche is a philosophy created by Comrade Kim-Il Sung which draws upon Marxist-Leninist principles and can be closely related to the notion of "self-reliance". Currently, Juche is the national ideology of DPRK based on Kim Il Sung´s words: "independence in politics, self-reliance in the economy, self-defence in the military”. Juche is our main source of nationalism, creativity and overall thought.

Juche Tower

Have you ever thought of having a perfect view among Pyongyang? Juche Tower provides you with a perfect chance to ride to the top of the tower and experience the city from a very different perspective. The Juche Tower was built in order to emphasize the symbolic significance of Juche ideology for North Korean people.

Mass Games

One of the major events in DPRK are the mass games which consist of a 90-minute unique performance of complete coordination and reflection of our glorious communitarian society. If you have an opportunity to see this wonderful example of group dynamics we highly recommend you to book your tour around the date of mass games happening.  Take your friends and celebrate with us this amazing achievement of the Korean people.
